AOD takes place at the Hotel Kabuki. The Hotel Kabuki is San Francisco's premier Japanese-style hotel with a western touch. With its prime Japantown location and unique blend of Eastern and Western influences, Hotel Kabuki offers calm and serene accommodations and ambiance.
Recently renovated in 2007, the new decor elegantly balances the refined beauty of the East and West. The hotel's location is central to shopping, dining, and entertainment, including a new film theater complex and a choice of music venues all within walking distance.
Travel Advisory
The San Francisco Bay Bridge will be closed to San Francisco-bound traffic starting at 8 PM on Friday, the 17th, and will not re-open until 5 AM on Tuesday, the 21st. Please plan extra time into your commute to AOD. Although extra BART trains and Ferries will be running, this closure will affect all routes into San Francisco, even those that do not cross the Bay Bridge.

The rooming deadline has now passed. If you are still looking for a hotel room, at this point your best bet is to call either the Hotel Kabuki or the Hotel Tomo and see if there are any last minute cancellations or waiting list opportunities.

Parking
The Japan Center Garage, located underground right below the hotel, is your most convenient option for parking at our event. There is also a limited amount of street parking (both metered and non-metered) in the vicinity of the hotel.
Wherever you choose to park, please exercise discretion and keep valuable items out of sight or take them with you. The hotel and convention are not liable for missing, stolen, or lost items.
Public Transit
The bus lines stopping closest to the hotel are the 2, 3, 4, and 38/38L. If you're taking BART, exit at the Montgomery station and catch the Muni 38 bus up the hill. The nearest Muni Metro station is Van Ness, from which you can get to the hotel by taking the 49 up Van Ness (towards Geary) and then either transfer to the 38 at Geary or walk 3-4 blocks on Geary up the hill to the hotel.
