Artist Alley

Artist Alley 2012 Registration

The Artist Alley will be returning for the 2012 season.

Our Artist Alley features the best local community artists. They come to show off their work, take commissions, and make a name for themselves. We provide a casual atmosphere where you interact with the attendees one-on-one.

Most of the tables will be right in the lower floor of the Hotel Kabuki, with a few select artists right outside the Dealers Room on the upper level.

This page is an information page aimed at current and prospective artists for AOD 2012. For more information about the Artist Alley itself, and our list of artists, please see our exhibits page.

Artist Alley Pricing

All tables are priced at $40.
All Artist Alley spaces consist of a 6 foot by 30 inch table, and two chairs.

This does not include a convention badge. Artists who are accepted into Artist Alley must also register for the convention separately.

Sold out!

Artist Alley is officially full, and we have no more room.

Artists that have previously been selected can maintain their information at the AOD 2012 Artist Alley application site.

All artists who are selected by the application site will get a special "Artist" badge, distinct from the regular attendee badges.

Setup and Teardown

Officially, there are no set hours for Artist Alley.

We do encourage the artists to set up before the AOD events get into full swing, and to tear down after most things have wrapped up.
However, each artist is free to decide exactly when to setup and teardown, as traffic, needs and other concerns may dictate.

Final Layout

Please see the final numbered list of artists on our exhibits page.

Lottery System

Because we have a lot of demand for Artist Alley, and only 21 spaces, we are implementing a lottery system for the 2012 season.

Essentially, we will take many applications for the AOD 2012 Artist Alley, and randomly choose 21 people from the applicant pool. These 21 people can then go on and pay for their table, register for the convention, take care of paperwork, etc.

How does the Lottery System work?

  • You apply for Artist Alley through this website, at the link below.
    • If you are a group of artists, you can all apply under the same account.
    • Note: Artists do not pay for their table at this time. Artists also do not need to register for the convention, and do not need to worry about seller's permit until they are accepted into Artist Alley proper.
  • We drew 6 names on September 15.
  • We drew 5 names on October 15.
  • We drew 5 names on November 15.
  • We drew the final 5 names on December 15.

Is there an advantage to registering early?

Registering early will put your name in for more draws through the season.

Do Artists need a Seller's Permit?

Probably.
